Lessons.Learned.

I only went running once last month. Once. Here are the things I learned:

  1. I felt like crap. Tired and just blah. No energy.
  2. I looked like crap. Bags under my eyes more defined. Weight gained. 
  3. Pictures from November looked so incredibly different. I had a glow about me. 
  4. My skin was so much better when I was running on a regular basis. It was brighter. Less blemish.
That's just the few things I mentioned to my running partner. It's kind of a mixed blessing to learn these lessons. I'm mad as hell at myself for putting myself in the position to learn them. But maybe (I hope) these lessons will make me more determined to get out there and kick ass!

We went running this week and considering our slacker ways for December, I'd say we did pretty well on our 2 mile run. Will be going running again tomorrow. Our goal now is to beat our first 5K time by at least a couple minutes. We have our eye on the Phoenix Zoo Walk (run) in the Wild in February. So here's to taking control of my own health/fitness and kicking ass and taking names!!
