Did you feel yours today?

October isn't just about orange and black, witches, ghosts, monsters and trick or treating. October is also all about the pink. As in reminding everyone about Breast Cancer Awareness.

I have to admit, sometimes I get a little jaded with the bombardment of pink. That is, until last year when I felt myself up and found a lump. I didn't panic. I went to my OB-GYN. She also felt the lump right away and sent me packing to get a mammogram.

It was all clear. Huzzah!

But I tell this story because I want everyone to understand how important early detection is. You are the first line of defense against cancer. No matter how healthy you are, how many miles you do or don't run, how much organic you eat, you can still get cancer. So please, for the love all that is beautiful in the world, please feel your boobies and if you notice anything contact your doctor. It may be nothing. It may be something. But if you catch it early enough, your survival rate goes up. And your boobs may just stay where they are: on your chest in all their glory.

So do it. Now. Feel your boobs, ladies. What are you waiting for?
