I realized how much I love my neighborhood.
But I love walking my daughter (or riding our bikes) to school.
I love that when we do this, we see the same people. We get to know our neighbors.
I love that we can go to the grocery store and run into friends.
I love that we can go outside and play in the cul de sac until the street lights come on.
I love that everyone sits in the driveways to hand out candy on Halloween.
I love that I can call on a neighbor for help when I need it. And they actually help.
This place feels more and more like home. I still have a desire to move near my family or my husband's family. But I am almost content here. I say "almost" because I have my days where I am so tired of it here.
But it's cooler weather. And even though it's supposed to be 100 on Saturday (groan!) I know it'll be nice in November. Which is just a few weeks away.
And we have made such good friends here. Or at least, I have. Husband needs to work on that.
I do love this neighborhood. I can't believe our luck sometimes that we ended up here. And the funny thing is, Husband always refused to move to this neighborhood because it was too "far away from everything." But even he is happy here. And that makes me happy too.
side note: I think it's gonna take me 3 months to write my 30 days. haha
Good neighborhoods make everything better. :)
