Lil Miss participated in a horse show on Sunday. It's not your run-of-the-mill English riding type of horse show.
This was a cowgirl's horse show. With barrels. And blue jeans. And tank tops. And American flags. She rode in the lead line class, so she didn't go around the barrels on her own. We think she'll be doing that next month or the next in the walk/trot class. It was kind of like barrel racing, only tamer and not in the rodeo. (Though some of those kids were crazy fast.)
Lil Miss loved it, even though it was super hot. She got a ribbon, of which she is exceedingly proud.
I'd like to mention, this was the first show we attended since her show in May, the day before Mindy was killed in the car accident. The show was in the same place this time. Lil Miss seemed to handle it just fine.
I think she's the prettiest little cowgirl ever.

ReplyDeleteThanks! I forgot to mention - her riding helmet was given to her by Mindy. Mindy saw it somewhere and thought of Morgan and just bought it for her.
