Boarding Pass for the Crazy Train

I'm getting my boarding pass for the crazy train.

I believe in individuals' rights and less government. Except:

  • When a woman needs to make a very hard choice about an unwanted pregnancy. She should not be allowed to decide what to do with her body. Also, when that unwanted child is brought into this world, I won't care about that child. It isn't my responsibility and I don't think the woman should be allowed to get assistance for her child. I'll go throw some cans of green beans in the food bank. There. That should take care of it.

  • When it comes to educating said unwanted child, who cares? It isn't my responsibility and it shouldn't be the government's either.

  • When two consenting adults decide to carry their relationship into marriage, I don't think they should be allowed because they are homosexuals. Individual rights? Um, not for them. Less government in the people's lives? Only if you're a heterosexual Christian white dude.

  • I shouldn't have to pay higher taxes for welfare, food stamps or for people in need of any kind of assistance. The government should leave it up to the individual to help out his fellow man. Except I won't care if you're a struggling single mother. You shouldn't have become a single mother. So no help for you (except for those green beans I threw in)!

I uphold Constitutional Amendments as long as they have the words "the right to bare arms" in them. But I'll poo-poo on that whole Freedom of Religion thing. This is a Christian country and by God, I have my Bibles and my guns. You're screwed if you don't believe what I believe. I'll even ignore the whole "Congress shall make no law establishing a religion" and vote for things like Prop 8 cause of what I interpret the Bible to say. (Never mind that eating shellfish is considered an abomination in that same book- I'll have my shrimps!)

I completely and totally back my President, no questions asked. Unless he's a democratically elected black dude who is really too smart for my comfort level.

If you don't completely and totally support your President, no questions asked, you're unpatriotic and a terrorist. Well, unless you support a democratically elected black dude. Then you're a fascist, a socialist and a communist. And no, I won't read a dictionary. Those terms are interchangeable!

I completely and totally support giving complete power to the President, Vice President, DHS, FBI and CIA. I support the government wiretapping and searching without warrants (even though it goes against one of the Amendments. It doesn't matter, cause that Amendment doesn't include the words "right to bare arms."). I support the government snooping into people's private lives cause we have to go get those terrorists! Not sure how this ties into my whole belief in less government and individual rights though.

Well, I support all that except when the government says something about right wing extremists because now they are talking about white people. Oh and the Democrats are in power and there's a black dude as a President. That is not okay with me! Don't you know? Only those brown people from the Middle East can be terrorists! Oh...Timothy McVeigh? Uh....

I support the President spending billions upon billions of dollars in a war without any strategy and on his rich buddies in secret government contracts. But I will not let a Democratically elected black guy spend money on Americans who are out of work or education for our kids.

I will protest. And while I'm protesting I'll claim the democratically elected government is trying to keep me from speaking up because I secretly have a Swastika tattooed to my butt and a white robe with a cone hat in my sock drawer.

I want Hannity, not sanity.

See, I have my boarding pass for the crazy train. I'm ready!
