Hiking!



I have some friends who are committed to losing weight and being healthier. They have given me a lot of inspiration to do this myself.

I started step one last week with the decision to make myself healthier. Since then, I have been struggling with putting more nutrition in my diet. After all, cookies are so much better than broccoli! And I believe chocolate is a necessity of life. I am taking a multi-vitamin, as well as trying to cut back on my sugars. Again, this is hard because I'm a sweet-tea drinkin' mama. I have started to drink more herbal teas though. (Still not giving up coffee!)

Yesterday, I took another step toward a healthier way of life. I went hiking! If you remember, back in October I really wanted to go hiking in Sedona, but it never happened. The good news is, my friends went with me. It was amazing and encouraging. We have plans to continue this.

So I wonder if I'll lose any weight before my brother's wedding in June? That is my goal!
