Kitchen Adventures: Making Stuff

I discovered a new website last week (maybe the week before) called weelicious.com! You should know, I love this site. She's on Facebook too, so you can find her there as well. I love her Facebook page too because she does answer questions if you have them.

Yesterday, we tried our first recipe from her site: graham crackers. My first impression: it was so super easy to make and I like that! My next impression was: Jackson had a blast helping.
"I know how to cook!"
I kind of liked munching on the mix as we were cutting out the bear shapes, too:
I love the idea of using the food processor to mix up stuff.
I'll admit, I burned the first batch I put in the oven. This is what they looked like before that happened:
Some of the bears lost arms or legs, but I reattached them to be eaten later.
I'm not 100% sure how that happened, but it's me and it wouldn't be me cooking if I didn't burn something! As the second batch baked up, my house smelled spectacular. When I pulled those little babies out of the oven they looked yum!
See? YUM!
Morgan came in and tried one. She asked for another. And another. And then asked if she could take them for snack today at school. What is so amazing about that? That kid has never liked graham crackers in her life. (Except on s'mores.)

5 monkeys.

  1. I used to subscribe to the weelicious blog but I unsubscribed because I just wasn't reading. I'm going to become a fan on FB, though. It's easier for me that way.

    Those graham crackers look awesome!
