The challenge for today is someone who fascinates you and why. Much to my chagrin (hahaha), I'm going with Sookie Stackhouse. Why? Probably because I've been watching True Blood and I'm reading the books. And yes, I know she's a fictional character, but fuck you anyway because I get attached to my fictional characters, okay?!
I can't ever decide if I like Sookie. One minute, I'm laughing at her and thinking "right on!" And another minute I'm thinking "What the fuck, Sookie?! Stop being so freakin' vain! We get it! You're blonde and have big boobs! congratu-fucking-lations!" I really don't like her too much on the show, but in the books, she's okay.
Why am I fascinated by her? I don't know if it's so much I'm fascinated by her or the world she lives in. I love the world Charlaine Harris created for Sookie. Vampires being out in the open, all the civil rights implications of that, the weres and shifters and all those people being part of Sookie's life just fascinate me. Oh and there are fairies. And I love fairies. Sookie gets to hang with some pretty awesome people. Like Pam, for example. Pam is a badass and she says what she thinks (see above?) and I love her for it.
Sookie's life fascinates me. I really don't know what I'll do when I finish the books. I'll go through some sort of deep depression or something.
I defiantly have a love/hate relationship with Sookie. I started reading the books several years ago, and she just annoyed me so bad that I stopped reading (I was more into the Anita Blake books, which may have been the bigger reason I stopped reading)...and I LOVE Anna Paquin SO freakin' much, but I find myself wavering between liking her and wanting someone to just eat her already.
