First of all, I love to learn and this has been a wonderful learning experience. Not only have I learned about a great organization geared towards empowering young girls, but I've learned so much about myself and my daughter. I've learned about our relationship.
Second of all, this leadership opportunity has brought me closer to my daughter. Our relationship has changed over the year and while it's still challenging and frustrating, it's also understanding and compassionate and of course, loving.
I've discovered I could do this for the rest of my life. I still have loads to learn, but I feel I am fulfilled. I'm almost.....dare I say it?.....content! We shall see. But I leave you with this picture from our leader/daughter celebration. We had such a good time!
