| The Beatles. Duh. |
Then I realized how much I love the Beatles. If I lived in the 60's I would be one of those annoying screaming, crying girls. What I love about the Beatles is how their music changed and evolved, just as they did. I love their early stuff. I love their later hippie stuff. So much of the Beatles' music moves me or it makes me move.
The thing is, the Beatles is probably the one thing that stayed consistent with me as I grew up. My mom was a huge Beatles fan ("before they got weird" she would say). My dad loved their later stuff. I was exposed to it all. Even my great-grandmother liked the Beatles. She wanted Let it Be sung at her funeral. There was a lot of chaos and upheaval in my childhood and listening to the Beatles are one of the few things I remember as a happy memory. I really hold them close to my heart.
And now, my kids listen to them and know who they are. The Beatles are timeless. They will always be passed down from generation to generation. They're pretty friggin' awesome. I love the Beatles.
